Little Thai Avenue of France

Little Thai Avenida de Francia is located in the Penya-Roja neighborhood, which belongs to the Camins del Grau district.

Camins del Grau is located to the Southeast of Valencia and limits to the North with Camí Fondo and La Creu del Grau, to the East with Grao, to the South with La Punta, City of Arts and Sciences and Monteolivete and to the West with Mestalla.

This neighborhood receives this name for being the old party of Penya-Roja, in which a hermitage was built in the year 1863. It is currently integrated into the concerted school located in the area.

The Camins del Grau area is divided into five neighborhoods:

  • Ayora.
  • Albors.
  • The Creu del Grau.
  • Camí Fondo.
  • Penya-Roja.

City of Arts and Sciences

The City of Arts and Sciences is a complex located in the old Turia riverbed of Valencia that was inaugurated in 1998.

The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum is a museum within the CAC and with different themes:

With a shape similar to the skeleton of a whale, it is an interactive museum divided into three floors to promote science and technology through fun and entertainment and opened in 2000.


L’Umbracle is a landscaped promenade with different plant species from the Valencian Community and covered by floating arches.

Its structure is created with white trencadís from ceramic fragments, typical industry of the Valencian Communitation.


L’Oceanogràfic is the largest oceanographic aquarium in Europe with a water lily cover. It is made up of several aquatic areas:

  • Temperate and tropical seas.
  • Oceans.

  • Antartic.
  • Islands.
  • Red Sea.
  • Dolphinarium.

The oceanographic is home to 45,000 specimens of 500 species of aquatic animals, reptiles and birds. They stand out from them:

  • Jellyfish.

Queen Sofia Palace of the Arts

The Palacio de las Artes Reina Sofía is the opera theater of the city of Valencia and at the same time the headquarters of the Valencian Community Orchestra.

Bridge of l’Assut de l’Or

The Bridge de l’Assut de l’Or also known as jamonero, the candle or harp bridge, crosses the old bed of the Turia River and connects the Ronda Sur with Calle Menorca and its structure is the highest point in the city.

The old bed of the Río Turia or Jardín del Turia is one of the largest public urban parks in Spain, with a length of about 10 kilometers.

After the great flood of Valencia in the 1960s, and the mobilization of citizens, it was decided to create this great park, which was inaugurated in 1986.

The park goes from the Parque de Cabecera, very close to the Bioparc, to the City of Arts and Sciences.

Within the Turia Garden we can find the Gulliver Park, the Palau de la Música, the Torres de Serrano, Valencia’s historic bridges or a large number of sports courts.
